Foam is an internationally operational organization in the field of photography, based in the centre of Amsterdam. For the very first time, Foam is showing its annual ‘Foam Talent’ exhibition in the historical building of Kühlhaus Berlin.

Foam presents all facets of contemporary photography by organizing a range of activities with a focus on young talent. The travelling exhibition ‘Foam Talent 2020’ showcases the nineteen artists selected in 2020 following Foam Magazine’s annual Talent Call: a search for exceptionally talented photographers under the age of 35, from all over the world.

This year’s selection of works reflects a rich range of genres and uses of photography, and is often characterized by lengthy research, centering the role of the portrait. In their diverse series and artworks the artists explore who we are and how we see ourselves in today’s constantly changing reality: between the analogue and the digital realms, myths and belief systems, the private and the public, and fact and fiction.
